Measuring Success

How do you measure success?

Well I think the question is easy enough to answer! And to prove it we are going to work on a few math drills that will help you learn some very useful math concepts! Yes, of course there will be time to play some games together too!

Success is measured not only by finishing a big school project on time, or handing in your homework when you are supposed to, or reading a whole book and writing a report on it, yes, these things do count as success, BUT success can also measured by progress you make towards a goal that you set for yourself!

So for these math activities let’s come up with some measures for your success.

Let’s go to the Louisiana PASS website where we can find all kinds of math stuff to do. Let’s click on the following link:

http://www.louisianapass.org/index.php

So you know, we’ll be coming back here a lot to do some work on our English too. And if you happen to be in the 8th grade we’ll also be coming back here to work on our Social Studies facts and learn some important things about Science as well…

NOW, on the main page of the Louisiana PASS website (click the link above if you haven’t already!!!) you have two options, you are either a registered user already (?), and if that’s the case log yourself in, OR if this is your first time using Louisiana PASS then you will have to sign your self up, and if this is the case, then go ahead and register yourself so we can move along!.

(*remember: if you are new to Louisiana PASS and you just registered make sure you write down your “login-in name” and “password” so you don’t forget and we can keep track of our progress during future visits!!!*)

If you have successfully logged in, select the “PASS Practice Tests,” then click on your “Grade Level,” and finally press the “Mathematics” tab to bring up the quizzes in the Information Station! Yeah! The Information Station!

Ready!??!
